We are a rustic northern Michigan homestead built on old-world Baltic land traditions and practical, hands-on stewardship. Our work is simple and intentional: raising heritage livestock, tending the woods we live in, and offering a peaceful farm-stay cabin where guests can slow down and reconnect with the land.
Our farm is growing into a small herd of yaks and Icelandic sheep, a fiber and livestock program rooted in traditional Baltic respect for animals and the soil they stand on. We clear only what’s needed, build with purpose, and let the land shape us as much as we shape it.
Guests who stay with us experience that philosophy firsthand: a lantern-lit rustic cabin, quiet woods, glimpses of wildlife, and the day-to-day rhythm of a working homestead. It’s not a resort or a retreat center—it’s real, grounded, and built by two people who believe that steadiness, care, and honest work can become a kind of refuge. This is how our lore was born: not from marketing, but from the way we live.
